"An investment in knowledge still yields the best returns."
Benjamin Franklin, 1706-1790
The main teaching objective is the academically focused education of students, which is achieved through the development of theoretical knowledge alongside methodological skills. The implementation of these skills is promoted through guest lectures from practitioners, as well as through project papers and dissertations that deal with practical issues. Furthermore, we enable the students to get in contact with firms in the finance industry from an early stage.
We offer Bachelor and Master level courses on a regular basis (each module is usually offered once per year). On top of this, we offer other special (Miscellaneous) courses (e.g., doctoral courses).
In rotation with Prof. Drobetz, we offer the foundation course “Finanzierung” (Finance) in the 4th semester, as well as more specialized “Finanzierung & Versicherung” (Finance & Insurance) courses.
The foundation course “Entscheidungsverhalten” (Choice Behavior) is offered in conjunction with Prof. Nell. In addition, we offer lectures and seminars for “Finanzierung & Versicherung” (Finance & Insurance) majors.
WS 07/08: Doctoral course: “Behavioral and Experimental Economics"
As far as Bachelor and Master level lectures and seminars are still open and can be be credited for students in the “Diplom” courses (which are currently being phased out), this will be separately noted in the course overview.
